Free Workshops for Job Seekers
Worksource Oregon staff members and library staff and volunteers are teaming to provide a series of workshops and classes at the Forest Grove City Library during January and February. Topics include Job Interviewing, Resume Building, E-mail, and Internet Job Searching. INTERVIEWING
Having proper interview skills is crucial for landing any job. Knowling how to present those skills at a job interview is just as important. With strategies for preparing for job interviews and tips for handling challenging questions, this workshop taught by Worksource Oregon staff will help you make a strong impression.

Computer class focused on composing and sending e-mail, attaching documents (i.e. resumes), and managing your e-mail account. If possible, please set up an e-mail account prior to class.

RESUMES
Your resume is teh first impression you will make on a potential employer. Learn the basics of putting one together and choosing the right format. Get answers to some of the most common questions about resumes at this workshop taught by Worksource Oregon staff. An optional 1 hour computer practice session will immediately follow the workshop in the public computer area.

INTERNET JOB SEARCHING
Basic internet searching skills using common job search sites as practice examples. Participants should be familiar with using a mouse, keyboard, and basic computer operations.
