Town Center Pedestrian Improvements Open House

The City of Forest Grove will be hosting an Open House on April 23 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at the Community Auditorium for persons interested in the Town Center Pedestrian Improvement Project.   In attendance will be staff from David Evans and Associates, Kodiak-Benge, and the City of Forest Grove. 

 

A contract for construction has been awarded to Kodiak-Benge of Sherwood, Oregon, and work on the project is scheduled to begin before the end of the month. 

 

Most of the work will occur along:
     21st Avenue between College Way and ‘A’ Street,
     Pacific Avenue between College Way and ‘A’ Street, and
     Main Street between Pacific Avenue and 19th Avenue. 

 

The project will include new sidewalks with brick accent strip, street lighting, wheelchair ramps, benches, bicycle racks, trash receptacles, and street trees with grates.
