City Code 3.210 states no person shall deposit any article or material on any street without first securing a permit from the City Manager or designee and paying the required fee.

A holder of a permit to deposit any article or material on the street shall provide adequate safeguards, railing, lights and/or markers to warn persons passing by.  The permit may be denied if the Manager or designee determines the article or material will seriously impede traffic or unduly obstruct the view of motor vehicle drivers.

Please note:  A drop box placed in your driveway or on your private property does not require a permit or permission from the City. The City encourages citizens to have drop boxes placed on private property rather than in the public right-of-way.
