Comp Plan Update: Phase 2 Print E-mail

The City of Forest Grove Community Development Department is beginning a three-year process leading to the update of the City's comprehensive land use plan.  The current plan was developed during the early 1980's and looked outward to the year 2005.  The plan guides decisions affeceting basic community services, where we live, work, play and shop, as well as how the City grows over time.

REVIEW OF DRAFT PROJECT WORK PLAN

On Monday, June 30, 2008at 6:00 PM, the Planning Commission and City Council will hold a work session to consider a draft project work program showing the steps involved in updating the plan as well as the subject areas that will be included.

The work session will be followed by a formal public hearing at 6:00 PM on July 14, 2008.

The Planning Commission and City Council encourages your comment on the draft work program prior to submittal to the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) for approval in August.  Once updated and adopted, the Comprehensive Plan will guide the City for the next 20 years until about the year 2030.
