With 357 acres of parkland and open space within the city limits, the Parks and Recreation Department provides safe and well-maintained areas to meet the daily leisure needs of residents.

Residents have access to 14 parks, an aquatic center and a skateboard park. The Parks and Rec Commission, an advisory board of volunteers, meet monthly to review park development and program plans.
