"BRIDGING THE GAP"

The Forest Grove Senior Center is proud to announce the 4th Annual Mayors’ Ball & Auction to support senior services.  Tuality Healthcare and individual donors are primary sponsors for this event.  Our theme is “Bridging the Gap” to support our Senior Guardian Assistance Program (Senior GAP), a program that bridges the gap in services for seniors who need financial management assistance.  Senior GAP staff members serve as representative payees, court- appointed guardians, and conservators.   

The 4th Annual Mayors’ Ball will be held at Tuality Healthcare Education Center in Hillsboro, Oregon, on September 6, 2008.  The event begins with a no-host bar and silent auction at 6 pm, followed by a live auction and a “wall of wine” raffle.  An elegant dinner will be catered by Reedville Catering with unique wines from Montinore Estate and Sokol Blosser Winery, all of Forest Grove.  Music and dancing will run from 8 pm until midnight, featuring Gentle Rain Jazz Ensemble.  Call early to make reservations: 503-357-2021.

The 4th Annual Mayors’ Ball supports our Senior Guardian Assistance Program as it expands to meet the needs of seniors in western Washington County. This program provides direct services that enable older adults and people with disabilities to maximize independence, financial self-sufficiency, and personal dignity.

Representatives from United States Senator Ron Wyden’s office will join our host, Mayor Richard Kidd of Forest Grove.  Tickets are $75.00 and are available by contacting the Forest Grove Senior Center at 503-357-2021.
