Calling All Friends of Fernhill Wetlands
A new group, the Friends of Fernhill Wetlands (FOFW), has organized and wants to invite area residents to join its ranks. FOFW is a group of volunteers working together to enhance and preserve Fernhill Wetlands and its natural community while providing a unique setting for education and recreation.
The group's goal is to bring together people from business, education, government and citizenry to ensure a heritage of scenic beauty and human connection to nature for generations to come. FOFW will begin conducting tours and monthly meetings this fall. The first meeting will be on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at 7 pm at the Forest Grove Senior and Community Center, 2037 Douglas Street, Forest Grove.
