Christmas with the Trail Band
The Trail Band will be presenting its annual production of Christmas With The Trail Band, a family holiday concert with a nice blend of old favorites and new performances, at Forest Grove High School Auditorium, 1401 Nichols Lane, Forest Grove, Wednesday, December 5, at 7:00 p.m.
The Trail Band is an eight-piece ensemble that creates an energetic blend of brass and string arrangements of traditional and original music featuring five great vocalists including Quarterflash’s Rindy Ross. Cornet, tenor horn, tuba, fiddles, hammer dulcimer, guitars, penny whistle, mandolin, piano, saxophone, spoons, bones, drums, bass, and recorders combine with their rich vocal harmonies to create a diverse tapestry of sound.
The event benefits the Education Foundation of Forest Grove and is a holiday concert reminiscent of the parlor orchestras and town square brass bands of the last century. The show also includes humorous stories from holidays past and features special guests, Linda Hornbuckle, and Mike Horsfall, vibraphonist extraordinaire.
General admission tickets can be purchased at John L. Scott, 1936 Pacific Ave., Forest Grove, Forest Grove School District Office, 1728 Main St., or by calling Susan at 503-740-6429. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children under 12. Reserved tickets are available this year for $25. Tickets are also available at the door.
