You have the opportunity to participate in creating a sustainability program for the community!!!

The City of Forest Grove invites you to become involved with sustainability efforts in community.  An informational session was held Saturday, October 8th.  We discussed what sustainability is and reviewed various efforts locally and within the region.  The information presented and distributed at this meeting is available for review on the City's website under Community Development: Sustainability.

Another meeting will be held on Saturday, October 22nd.  It will be an opportunity for the community to meet to develop future efforts to promote sustainability in the community.  This will be done through a SWOT analysis.  In short, SWOT is the abbreviation of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats.  It is a method to develop strategies where an identified outcome has been identified.  It is used in businesses, government and non-profits. 

The meeting will begin at 9:30 am in the Community Auditorium, 1915 Main Street, Forest Grove.
