Fall Community Clean Up Scheduled
Waste Management's partnership with the City of Forest Grove includes sponsoring two community-wide clean up events -- one in the spring and one in the fall. We hope you will join us to help make our community a cleaner and better place to call home.
SPECIAL CURBSIDE COLLECTION:
Monday - Friday, November 7 - 11, 2011
Forest Grove residents with current WM accounts may set out up to six (6) extra bags of garbage on their regular collection day, at no extra charge. Bags must be 32-gallons or smaller.
Items should follow the normal guidelines:
- NO construction materials, sod, concrete, asphalt, bricks, rocks, dirt, or building materials.
- NO hazardous waste; no wet kitchen waste.
- Bags should be tied securely so contents do not spill.
The bags will be picked up by a separate truck so it may not coincide with the pickup of the roller carts.
BULKY ITEMS DISPOSAL / TIRES: Saturday, November 12
Forest Grove Transfer Station, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Forest Grove residents may bring up to 3 bulky items to the WM Transfer Station, free of charge. Couches, mattresses, appliances, etc., will all be accepted. Appliances cannot contain Freon or other coolants. All refrigerants must be removed and have attached certificate of evacuation from a Certified Technician showing refrigerant has been removed per DEQ regulations. WM will also accept 4 tires per customer. Proof of Forest Grove residency is required. Any questions about the community cleanup, please contact Waste Management at 503-249-8078.
Sorry, NO televisions, computers, or hot tubs will be accepted. Oregon E-Cycles provides free recycling of computers, monitors and TVs. Find sites at www.oregonecycles.org.
Special Thanks to Waste Management for providing this public service clean-up event.
