Flags at Half-Staff to Honor Retired Firefighter
The City flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Friday, February 3, 2012, in honor of retired volunteer fire fighter William “Bill” Sauber. Bill was one of the 14 charter members who formed the Forest Grove Fire Department Gales Creek Fire Brigade in 1972 and was a volunteer fire fighter for the Gales Creek Station for 18½ years. Bill’s memorial service will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 10:30 am on Friday, February 3.
