wcpc.pngThe Westside Crime Prevention Coalition (WCPC) is a collection of six Washington County law enforcement agencies including Forest Grove Police, that partner in crime prevention education and related programs.  WCPC is inviting interested citizens to attend a free monthly landlord forum. A new series of forums kicks-off on Wednesday, September 7th at 6:30 p.m. The goal of the training is to afford residential rental property owners and managers an opportunity to learn how they may better recognize and address possible criminal activity on their property as well as obtain better understanding of police perspective when it comes to maintaining a safe property.

The free monthly forums also offer an opportunity to obtain clarification and better insight into Oregon Landlord/Tenant Laws. The 90 minute session always offers advice and problem solving suggestions by Jeffrey S. Bennett, a Portland area attorney and recognized expert regarding rental property issues. Another benefit of the forum is the ability for attendees to network with other rental property owners and managers in the area who often share common concerns and questions.

Plan to attend the next monthly forum when the planned topic is “critical incident responses and what to expect when the “SWAT” team shows up at your property.” Learn firsthand about the Washington County “Tactical Negotiation Team” (TNT). You won’t want to miss out.

The location for the September 7th forum is the Beaverton City Library located at 12375 SW 5th Street in Beaverton.  For more information please call 503.992.3108.
