Power Outage Update
Last Friday's power outage was not an April Fool's joke! Even with a modern and well-maintained system and on a beautiful spring-like day, we still occasionally experience a service interruption.
There was a fault in the underground system in the Ballad Towne area which affected the feeder serving the NW residential areas. Most homes were out for about an hour.
When you call the Light & Power Department to report an outage, you may get a recording instead of a live person. Depending on the extent of the outage, many people may be trying to contact us, and the department has a limited number of people answering the phones. Please leave us a message with your name and address, and we will listen to it as soon as we can. Addresses will help us localize the outage and determine the cause. Thank you!
