Regional Small Business Seminar Scheduled in Forest Grove
Forest Grove to Hold Regional Small Business Seminar Event
designed to help area businesses grow.
Recognizing the importance of small business and new entrepreneurial start-ups, Forest Grove will be hosting a no-cost “Growing Your Small Business” forum on Wednesday, February 1 from 8AM -11:30AM at the Forest Grove Community Auditorium at 1915 Main Street.
The forum will offer attendees the opportunity to learn what resources exist out of the US Small Business Administration (SBA), State of Oregon Business Development, area banks and other local small business service providers. The event will also provide the opportunity for questions and answers and to network. The agenda will focus on business programs and resources in three areas: access to capital, contracting opportunities with government and business counseling.
“This is a great occasion for business owners and prospective business owners to gain information on strategic business growth and start-up business initiation,” said Jeffrey King, Forest Grove Economic Development Manager.
Businesses and entrepreneurs from the western Washington County area including Cornelius, Banks, Gaston, Gales Creek, North Plains and Hillsboro are encouraged to attend.
This Growing Your Small Business Forum is sponsored by the City of Forest Grove, Forest Grove Chamber of Commerce, and the Forest Grove Economic Development Commission, and in coordination with the Portland District Office of the US Small Business Administration. Registration begins at 8 am. Coffee and pastries will be provided courtesy of 1910 Main - An American Bistro.
