Suspicious Male Sought
UPDATE: The suspicious person from today’s previous media release has been identified. His name is not being released. Officers contacted the subject at about 3:00pm today at a local motel. Based on their conversations with the subject it appears that he suffers from mental illness, and is not a threat to the community.

The Forest Grove Police Department is attempting to locate a suspicious male who offered candy to two young girls and made statements to them of a sexual nature. The subject approached the girls at a garage sale. When the mother became aware of the conversation she told the subject to leave, and then notified the police.
The subject matches the description of an "unwanted" at a local business which occurred on June 10th. During that incident the subject was making bizarre comments to a 15 year old male employee.
While no crime was committed the behavior is very concerning, and the Forest Grove Police Department would like the public to be aware of the incident.
Description: White male, approximately 52 years old, medium build, wearing a black and grey bandana, black vest, blue shirt, blue jeans and carrying a black bag. The suspect was riding a "low-rider" style bicycle. The subject goes by the name "Sage."
