Water Conservation is an easy way to save money.  A few simple changes around your home can really add up.  In addition to saving money, you will also be helping our environment.

Here are some helpful indoor tips:

Check your toilets for leaks

Place a few drops of food coloring in your toilet tank, do not flush the toilet, if you notice the color starting to appear in the bowl then you have a leak and may be wasting more than 200 gallons of water a day.

Take shorter showers.

A typical shower uses five to ten gallons of water a minute, so a twenty minute shower could use up to 100 gallons of water. We have free 5 minute shower timers available for our customers.

Turn off the water while brushing your teeth.

Before brushing, wet your brush and fill a glass for rinsing your mouth.

Check faucets and pipes for leaks

Even a small drip can waste 50 or more gallons of water a day.
