Arts, Culture & Entertainment
The range and vitality of cultural activities in Forest Grove are amazing for a community of its size. Enjoy live music under the stars at McMenamins, sign up for a class with Theater in the Grove, meet a local artist at the Valley Art, watch first run movies at the old time Forest Theater, search for antique treasures on Main Street and throughout the year we have an exciting calendar of events. Since its founding in 1849, Pacific University has been a major regional focal point for music, dance, theater and visual arts. The University has its own theater offering plays, dance and orchestral performances, a stimulating public lecture program, and a celebrated community choir. The acclaimed Performing Arts Series now in its sixteenth year attracts some of the world’s finest musicians and performers each year. The Kathrin Cawein Gallery of Art at Pacific University features changing exhibits highlighting paintings, drawings, prints, stained glass, and sculptures.
