Small Town Charm

Enjoy the leisurely pace of our historic streets with their turn of the century architecture and stroll through the adjacent gardens and tree-shaded campus of Pacific University. Take time to explore our forty specialty stores, antiques, coffee shops, restaurants, spas and galleries. The traditional village feel of downtown gives way to fun and excitement when our many events come to life.

Events

Concours d'Elegance
One of four premier vintage car shows in the United States, for nearly 30 years this annual summer event is host to thousands of visitors and hundreds of classic automobiles on the manicured grounds of Pacific University. A team of 80 judges select award winners from among multiple pre- and post-World War II categories.

Annual Corn Roast - Celebrating Forest Grove
Every September four tons of locally grown fresh corn is consumed at this historic-themed barbeque. This celebration of Forest Grove features booths and entertainment and plenty of corn, all located on the grounds of Pacific University.

Farmers Market
Every Wednesday from May through October, on Main Street (between Pacific Avenue and 21st Avenue), the Market is held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. It features fresh produce and flowers, along the tastiest traditional tamales this side of Mexico. It also offers children’s activities, opportunities for cultural exchange, entertainment, locally made crafts and a mini-photo studio ready to take your family portrait.

First Wednesday
The Forest Grove Downtown merchants open their doors for evening festivities the first Wednesday of every month from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Enjoy tastings from local wineries, listen to music, take advantage of food specials from restaurants, shop stores offering bargains, peruse art galleries and check out the crafts vendors.  Artisans in the Grove provides a "Sampler's Veranda" for local artists to share their talents (crafts, music, textiles, performers) with the community promoting sales and offering demonstration space for performances, services, and/or classes.

Forest Grove Uncorked:  A Wine, Microbrew and Food Experience!
The City Club of Forest Grove has created an annual downtown event held on the 3rd Saturday in August that promotes and celebrates the food, wine and micro-brew providers of our local communities. This event attracts 750 to 1,000 adult wine, food and micro-brew enthusiasts annually and includes live music.   Uncorked is dedicated to supporting a local charity through paid admission, sponsorships and other programs.
