Responsibilities

As the clerk of the City Council, the City Recorder records all City Council proceedings, manages public records, administers liquor licenses, and serves as the City Elections Officer.

The Recorder is charged with the preparation of the agenda, maintenance of ordinances and resolutions, preparation of official meetings and legal notices, administering liquor licenses, overseeing Public Records Requests, and processing of all official documents and minutes of the Forest Grove City Council. The Recorder serves as the City Elections Officer. The Recorder is the custodian of city records, and maintains the official copies of the City Charter (PDF) and City Code.

The Forest Grove City Council Meetings are recorded and broadcasted by Tualatin Valley Community Television (TVCTV) Government Access Programming LIVE on Channel 30 at 7 pm. Live streaming can also be seen on TVCTV's website.
