Due to COVID-19, this year's annual town meeting was held online and facilitated by the Committee for Community Involvement members. This was the first time that the annual town meeting was conducted virtually. There were 73 attendees and 22 panelists on the Zoom webinar which was also broadcast by Tualatin Valley Community Television (TVCTV- cable TV and live stream) with TVCTV providing subtitles in Spanish. Hosted by the Committee for Community Involvement (CCI), the topics for the meeting were Police Leadership, Policy Updates, and the Proposed Police Facility. The first hour was used for presentations by the City Manager and Police Chief; the second hour was for Questions and Answers. Questions could be submitted in writing either when registering, by email, or in the Zoom Q&A box during the meeting. The questions were read aloud during the meeting, and the appropriate panelist(s) responded to them. Questions not answered during the meeting were compiled and CCI asked City staff to provide answers to questions that were not related to police matters. The questions and answers are posted in the following is the 2021 Annual Town Meeting Follow Up document. The Community Policing presentations are linked below and available in Spanish. The Committee for Community Involvement, advisory committee to the Forest Grove City Council, will present a summary report and feedback to the City Council. Questions: Call 503-992-3227.
