Building
The City of Forest Grove/Cornelius Building Division is responsible for providing Fire/Life Safety Plan Reviews and Field Inspection Services for all structural, mechanical, and plumbing projects consistent with adopted city codes and planning approvals. The Division also is responsible for the enforcement of building-related codes and requirements.

Fire
Located in the shadow of the magnificent forested hills of Oregon's Coast Range, Forest Grove Fire and Rescue is a combination paid and volunteer fire department that provides fire protection, emergency medical services, rescue, and fire and life safety education to the City of Forest Grove and the surrounding rural communities that make up the Forest Grove Rural Fire Protection District.

The Public Works Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the following public infrastructure: street, water, sanitary sewer, and surface water management systems. The Department also manages and maintains the City's equipment and vehicle fleet.

Urban Renewal Agency
The primary purpose of the urban renewal plan is to eliminate blight and blighting influences within the proposed urban renewal area; improve land utilization within the urban renewal area; encourage private investment and job creation; and increase the value of real estate within the urban renewal area.
