The 2018 Annual Town Meeting was held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 9 am to Noon in the Forest Grove Community Auditorium located at 1915 Main Street. Doors opened at 8:30 am and a light and delicious breakfast was provided by Yellow Llama. The featured speaker was Fire Chief Michael Kinkade who presented the concept of forming a fire authority serving Forest Grove urban and rural areas, Cornelius urban and rural areas and Gaston. The ATM provided an opportunity to learn about how a Fire Authority would operate. The featured topic was followed by a moderated general question and answer session. City elected leaders and senior staff answered questions from the audience about topics of community interest. Over 70 people attended the event and over 80 more watched via the live Facebook streaming which was offered for the first time.
