The project is part of ODOT’s ongoing efforts to improve safety, mobility, and accessibility for drivers and pedestrians in key corridors in Forest Grove. These planned project improvements include enhancements to intersections, updated signals and striping, and targeted safety upgrades designed to improve visibility.
Highway 47 serves as a major gateway into Forest Grove and carries high volumes of traffic daily. Proposed improvements along this corridor are focused on increasing safety for all users and improving traffic flow. Updates to Maple Street and Fern Hill Road will address safety concerns, including intersection improvements, improved pedestrian and bicycle connections, and roadway upgrades to support safer travel through residential and commercial areas.
While ODOT is still finalizing timelines and construction phasing, the City will continue to work closely with the agency to coordinate impacts, share updates, and advocate for Forest Grove’s priorities throughout the process.
