The City of Forest Grove is embarking on a community-driven initiative to shape its future with the launch of "Forest Grove Forward," a comprehensive community visioning project. This initiative aims to define a collective vision that will guide the city's development and growth well into the future.
"Forest Grove Forward" seeks to engage all who live, work, play, learn, and visit Forest Grove in envisioning a vibrant and sustainable future for our community. The project will focus on identifying shared values, setting ambitious goals, and defining specific actions to achieve them across various aspects of community life.
“The Forest Grove 2040 visioning plan is of the utmost importance to the city of Forest Grove. It will become the long-term strategic planning document, guiding city goals, objectives, and budgets. Community participation is vital in accurately defining the City’s vision. Please complete the survey to share your hopes and dreams for the city of Forest Grove.” stated Mayor Malynda Wenzl.
The visioning process will include extensive community engagement, including the initial survey. Other input will be gathered via events and workshops throughout the summer, ensuring that diverse perspectives are considered in shaping Forest Grove's future. Key focus areas include local economy, housing, transportation, infrastructure, health and wellness, arts, and culture.
