Safety Concerns
Safety is our top priority during severe weather conditions. Please call 911 for emergencies or life-threatening situations.
If someone outside is unsheltered and their life appears to be in danger, call 911.
If you are concerned about someone during cold weather, call Washington County Non-Emergency at 503-629-0111 to request a welfare check.
Shelter Resources and Transportation
Call 2-1-1 or visit 211 Info for emergency housing and shelter resources.
Severe Weather Shelters:
Due to dangerous conditions, Washington County will activate severe weather shelters, providing emergency shelter capacity to ensure no one seeking shelter is turned away.
To help someone obtain transportation to a shelter location, or to connect families with children to shelter, please call 503-846-4722.

Downed Power Lines & Power Outages
- Call Light and Power Dispatch from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday at 503-992-3250.

Heavy Rain & Flooding
A sandbag fill site is available in the parking lot at 19th and Ash Street. Bags provided. Please bring your shovel to fill bags.
